20 years ago, I had what was originally diagnosed as a wart on my forehead, and treated as such diagnosed at the Woking Nuffield and treated there as a basal cell carcinoma. Although it was explained then that it was unlikely that it would reappear, 18 years later, another lesion reappeared on the same location initially very small. Covid lockdown then followed meaning it was two years before I had a doctor's appointment which confirmed my own thought that this was again a bcc. I went privately to the Nuffield and, after a consultation, I was passed on to Mr Alok Misra as the growth was now too large for her to excise. I met Mr Misra a week or so later and I was immediately struck with his friendly nature and clarity in explaining my treatment options. Having decided on the form of surgery I wanted, an appointment was made for the surgery a couple of weeks later. The surgery was carried out in a most friendly and professional way and with near total lack of any pain. After the expected bruising and swelling died down, it was clear that Mr Misra's care and expertise had resulted in a very neat scar. I've had two further consultations. Following his advice on how to treat the scar to limit it showing both he and I are extremely pleased with the end result. It had been my choice, due to covid, that I left the lesion to grow to the extent it did which meant a larger operation was necessary. At all times, I knew I was in the best of hands with Mr Misra aided by his secretary Jane. My thanks to both of them.

When I decided to have a tummy tuck I did my research and found Mr Misra to be the one for me. Even before meeting Mr Misra I had given all written information of my expectations etc. From the first meeting with Mr Misra I knew I had made the right decision. I was immediately put at ease by his friendly nature. At the meeting we discussed fully about a tummy tuck procedure including pros and cons and what was the best procedure for me. At no time did I ever feel pressured to make any decisions if anything Mr Misra encouraged to have time out to digest and think seriously about information that we discussed before making any decision. I then had a further two meeting and then decided to go ahead with a full tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). We decided to have the operation at The Cromwell Hospital in London. One the day of the operation i was not worried at all as I had the upmost confidence in Mr Misra. He came to see me before the operation where again we discussed what was going to happen and of course the obligatory drawings on my tummy! The operation took five hours but to me felt like five minute once I was asleep!! Once back in my room and more with it Mr Misra came to see me again and told me op went very well etc and that I now should rest etc. the care I received from the staff at The Cromwell was excellent. I opted for a two day stay in hospital which I would recommend as it gives you time to adjust and any pain to be managed effectively. On the question of pain I can only say that for me I was never in pain it was only discomfort (tummy area is very tight). Once at home I did what Mr Misra had told me i.e. to rest and do as little as possible after the initial op. My advise is that it is important that you follow Mr Misra after care instructions totally to ensure no complications occur - we all think we can do more than we actually can! I was in constant contact with Jane (Mr Misra right hand woman) who requires a massive thank you for always being just a text message away asking if everything was going well etc. I had my op end Feb 20232, my 1st meeting was a week after my op and then a further 3 meeting my last being end April. From around 6 weeks after my op I could go back to my running (not running a marathon but short runs) and back to my normal every day routines etc. I have had no complications (my scar is so neat and tidy) and I am beyond pleased with the results. I have a last meeting with Mr Misra at the end of the year just to make sure things have been going to plan which I think just speak to the care give by Mr Misra. I could not recommend Mr Misra enough. He is highly professional, absolutely knows his stuff and his bedside manner is impeccable. Mr Misra and his assistant Jane make a very impressive team who put my care and needs as priority number 1. Best decision definitely to have Mr Misra as my surgeon.

From my very first consultation with Mr Misra I have been impressed with how much effort he put into making sure I understood, and had all the information I needed, to decide on the best treatment option for me. At no point did I feel rushed into leaving his office before any and all questions had been answered. It was great that he could see that with me being a part-time walking stick/part-time wheelchair user that my hands actually play a vital role in my mobility so a surgery that may seem fairly minor for some could have a major impact for me. Mr Misra is also supported by his fantastic secretary Jane, she responds to emails really quickly, even when messaging her late evening, and after my surgery she was in contact frequently to check how my recovery was going. Surgery was five weeks ago, the scar is almost invisible, my hand strength is improving daily and I have full flexibility in my fingers. I would 100% select Mr Misra for any further treatment I needed that fell under his specialities and without a doubt would recommend him to family/friends.

From start to finish the care and service from Mr Misra and his assistant Jane was fantastic! I felt at ease, cared for and listened to throughout the entire process. Mr Misra was attentive and thorough making sure I had plenty of time for questions at every stage. His assistant Jane was always available on the phone even on weekends and in the evenings. She made contact with me each day during my recovery which was very reassuring. Just knowing I had a direct point of contact should I need anything was of great comfort. I am overjoyed with the results of my tummy tuck surgery. Having tried for a number of years to reduce my post baby tummy with exercise and having no luck, I turned to surgery. I only wish I had done it sooner. Mr Misra has done an amazing job. The scar is very neat and you would never know that my belly button is 'new'. I am thrilled with how my tummy looks. The staff at the Nuffield hospital Woking were also fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble. When I occasionally pressed my buzzer there was a nurse there within a minute. Thank you Mr Misra!

Great service from Mr Misra from start to finish. During the initial consultation he took the time to carefully discuss all the possible options with me including benefits and risk. He understood my key goals as well as my motivations. Post op - he met with me few times to check progress and advised how best to manage my after care. Highly reccomend the service to anyone who is considering getting work done. Mr Misra's EA Jane, was equallt brilliant, she checked in almost daily post op and even got me super excited about the procedure beforehand. Highly motivating and really kept me updated and I felt I was very well looked after.
